At last, we finished your "exposés" and the Lewis and Clark's worksheets Worksheet A Worksheet B HW: You have to review your lesson, learn your vocabulary and do the questions on the worksheet I gave you.
Today, we quickly reviewed the interrogative words (here is the correction of your worksheet) and we then turned to another document: the "Unbreakable" trailer.
You can watch it again by clicking below
You first watched it and you had to pick out the words you know, in order to try and say what it is about. As you were not really careful, we had to watch it a second time, and it was much better.
Today, we briefly summed up what we told about the cartoon, "with all the odd types around, I feel safer with a gun..." (found on www.nicholsoncartoons.com.au)
and finished its analysis. HW: Lesson to learn + textbook to bring for next time.
Today, I first gave you back your dictation which were, on the whole, better than the first one. We corrected it and we then turned back to the British press. I gave you some newspaper copies that you had to study with the help of the vocabulary you had to learn: you had to name the different elements on the front page. HW: You have your vocabulary (part I) p.121 to review and an exercise to do.
Today, we corrected your vocabulary exercise on the British Press. We then saw the differences between the tabloids and the broadsheets. As we finished quite early, we listened to Dear Mr President by Pink and we talked about it and its themes. You can watch the videoclip here
Hope you liked it ! HW: You have to learn your lesson.
