Today, I first gave you the topics of your exposés.
Some of you will have to read some book excerpts and will have to make a brief summary of the novel as a whole, and make a short biography of the author.
You will then have to choose a small passage in two pages from the excerpt, sum it up and then say why you chose this passage.
You will also have to briefly introduce the characters.
Today, we briefly reviewed what we told last time about our new documents. We then corrected your homework: you had to imagine what the woman was saying in the following cartoon. Some of your dialogues were rather good, and my favourite was Alexandre's one which was really funny. Here it is: First bubble: I must go to the toilets... Second one: Can you push me so that I can roll to them? HW: Lesson to learn + track 1 p.108 in your books to read and answer the questions.
Today, we started a new sequence entitled Tales of Fantasy. So I first told you about the "exposés" some of you will have to do for this sequence. We then briefly define the Fantasy Genre. I gave you a worksheet on which we studied the poster of The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King. You can see it by clicking below I showed you some vocabulary for the sequence. We answered question 1, and then moved to Track 1 p.180 in your book to learn more about Fantasy. We then began describing the first character on the poster. Today, we talked about the extract we saw last time, and answered the first questions on your worksheet about the characters and the filming technique.
