Un weblog pour apprendre l'anglais en s'amusant, destiné à mes élèves mais aussi à tous ceux qui passent le BAC et des ressources pour les professeurs d'anglais.
Today, we began our new sequence on Stereotypes. I asked you to look for Canadian stereotypes and you noted down a big list on the blackboard, well done !! We then watched a commercial: I am Canadian !, dealing with Canadian stereotypes. You can watch it again below
and we answered the questions on your worksheet (adapted from M. MARTIN's worksheet) I hope you liked this commercial !! We eventually define the term stereotype. HW: Learn your lesson.
Hey Flo!
These vids are excellent! ;) I think my favorite is the "pet beaver" one. So awesome!
Good evening,
I have to say I particularly enjoyed the one with the beaver... Quite funny! You never know what to expect with a Canadian (and with an obedient beaver!)
Julien
As I\\\'ve already told Martin, these videos are excellent, (though the last one\\\'s just ok)... Anyway, I would have loved to post some more interesting (as always :) ) comments but sitting in front of the screen for too long is very taxing for my eyes... My students were tiring (horrible !!? loll) this morning -____- and I need to get some rest...
take care.
Thanks for coming Samouraï and for your interesting comment !! indeed, the last one is the less interesting, but we can see the same character as the first one (I'm Canadian !) so I wanted to show it to my students.Take some rest !Take care !

In this vidéo we can see that Canadians are canadians and not Americans. The Canadians claim their nation. But this ad is an ad for a beer. It is strange to claim the nation for a beer. I don't understand that!
